On Sept. 22, Syngenta announced EXORT™ technology. The major scientific breakthrough is based on natural microRNAs. It can help plants make better use of their natural biological processes, increasing crop yield and improving quality.
Applied to leaves at very low doses, products with EXORT™ technology work with the natural signals plants already use to regulate biological processes, without disrupting farmers’ normal field management practices. The technology has delivered consistent yield gains across major crops – rice, soybean, corn, cotton, vegetable and fruits – over multiple years and geographies. It not only helps farmers improve crop productivity and quality, but also provides a sustainable and practical way to reduce agriculture’s environmental footprint.
The first products based on EXORT™ technology are planned for launch from 2027. This will be followed by a phased introduction across approximately 20 countries and multiple crops over the next years. Syngenta believes EXORT™ technology has the potential to become a foundational platform for the next generation of biological solutions, supporting efficient and sustainable development of agriculture.
